Somewhere between Christmas and New Year

Happy Holidays to everyone!
I am pretty sure I am going to use block #26 from the
new edition of 100 Blocks. It is a block that uses triangles but
eventually has a circular look to it. It is named Twirling Star. I
also like block #86, Spring Blossom-but this one has more pieces, so I think the
Twirling Star is the best choice.

I am choosing red, blue, green and yellow so that it
will match my little place at the beach. I will send out the templates,
instructions and fabrics beginning Dec. 26

I hope everyone is as excited as I am.

  1. Thanks Donna, I have a good excuse to go get the magazine. Are you sending fabric too or are we using from our stash? I am really excited but also really nerves! :D

  2. I am planning to send the fabric as well. I am a little worried because I am asking everyone to do foundation piecing, so I didn't want anyone to stress about fabric selection as well.

  3. I have never done any foundation piecing...a little nervous about it, but then again I needed an excuse to try it!

  5. Don't worry Rene, foundation piecing is easy and fun. The first block I made was a bit confusing, but after that I loved it!

  6. I found a couple of videos yesterday and it looks like it might be fun. Thought maybe I would practice with some scrap material before making Donna's actual block :)

  8. I have that magazine sitting right here! What a beautiful block! I've never tried foundation piecing myself, though I have watched someone do it, so I am anxious to give it a try. Yay!!!
